Meet the Chick Family

   Hilary realized after buying a home in Colorado Springs and remodeling it herself, she had made a huge mistake.  Not only was this home quickly becoming a money pit, but the amount of waste was astounding.  One month her electric bill was $700, all because the home was 122 years old and had zero eco efficient design elements. Hilary also noticed the neighbors all lived separately instead of in a community. 

    She thought there must be a better way, hence her dream for Acres Away was born.  A community built with the planet in mind, designed to promote love for ones neighbor and self sufficiency.  A central community garden, barn and chicken coop with monthly classes on animal husbandry, making cheese and milk and how to grow the most organic land loving fruits and veggies
