Imagine a community that really felt like you weren’t just home but that you lived next to people that you admired and trusted, felt the phrase love thy neighbor, was an actual possibility and not just a commandment. Acres Away Community is built with each property being constructed of 3/40ft containers, there are three different floorplans available. The lot sizes will be generous no lot will be less than 3/4 of an acre, no more than 12 properties will be built on the site.

 This community is unlike any other you have seen before every house backs up to the community garden and animal shed, which will house two goats and a chicken coop as well as a lush ample size community garden.  The focus of this community is to learn how to become more eco friendly and less dependent on big box stores where food related items have gotten ridiculously expensive and full of awful chemicals. One of the requirements of living in this community will be that you donate a certain amount of time to the garden and animal care. There will be classes offered every month on everything ;from making cheese,to how to plan the perfect garden, what seeds to plant and when,canning and preservation to name a few. If you are not a green thumb, you will be after living here for a few months. around the entire property, the outside ring will be a natural walking path to inspire our residents to get out there and get some exercise. Take their dogs for a walk and just enjoy the beauty that mother nature has to offer. Part of our mission statement here at Chick and a Wrench is to make these houses from sourced material beautifully crafted but done with cost effective budget, so we can pass the savings along to people that are so desperate to own a home, but are unable to do so because of ridiculously soaring housing prices , it is our goal to offer these beautiful homes on nice big lots for under $300,000.
